We just returned to Costa Rica after 3 weeks at One Superior Place. We have rented all over the world and, honestly, this was our best experience! To begin, the apartment was spotless on our arrival. In addition, both my husband and I had 2 complete sets of brand new white towels. We did not have a telephone and so communicated with the office via email and Skype and are needs were ALWAYS addressed ASAP. Finally, and most importantly, my husband left a bag in the lobby of the building when we checked out. The bag contained all of my expensive travel clothes. I emailed Relu the moment we realized this at the airport and he got back to me within a few minutes to say that he had phoned the lobby and yes, they had the bag. Further, I emailed Relu on Sunday of a holiday weekend and he got back to me the same day. He is going to pick-up the bag and mail it to my sister in Atlanta. Living in Costa Rica, it would have been impossible to expedite this situation without Relu's help. He really went well beyond the call of duty.

As a businessman with his wife staying for a week, I would not have considered entertaining clients in this unit. If the management company paid a little more attention to detail and had some finesse, this would be a wonderful place to stay.
Apartment was tired with minimal amenities. Very minimal and beat up cooking utensils. Some flatware looked like it had been through a telekinesis experiment. Only one set of keys provided, we asked for more but was told ‘no’ which was somewhat inconvenient. There is no intercom from the unit to the front door/desk. Carpet somewhat tired and stained. Kitchen, closet and some bathroom vanity lights burned out. Blinds bent, walls marked. No clock radio, one bath towel and face cloth each, no bath mat or hand towels (requested more but again denied). Initial cleaning was subpar and no cleaning supplies provided which we felt we needed to rectify (requested cleaning supplies but again, denied). We bought some cleaning supplies and toilet paper too. Laundry machines were in the unit which is a bonus, wish this was mentioned as a supplied amenity.
The building itself was in a great location and is quite nice. Doormen were very friendly and helpful. Whole Foods on the ground floor was also a bonus for supplies. Unit was on the top floor (53rd) which provided a wonderful view. Pool and deck areas very nice.
I'm kind of surprised after waiting 2 months that these guys are still aloud to advertise on Trip Advisor

Do not use Stan Properties to find your business or leisure accomodations. The room was dirty, there were broken glasses in the dishwasher, dirty dishes put away in the cabinets...but worst of all...YOU MAY ARRIVE AND NOT BE ABLE TO GET INTO THE ROOM AT ALL!!! That's what happened to us. We arrived and couldn't check in because as we very quickly found out...Stan Properties has a nasty habit of botching up getting keys to people when they are supposed to check in and blaming the doorman. I arrived and didn't EVER get my keys the night I was supposed to checked in. I had to make other arrangements that evening I arrived. Not easy and certainly not what I wanted to waste my time doing when I had thought I had searched the internet for a good deal and nice accomodations. It ruined not only my plans for the first evening in Chicago...it also ruined most of the next day!
If you would like to stay at 1 W Superior...call them directly or find Suite Home Chicago. There are plenty of people who offer rooms at 1 W Superior OTHER THAN STAN PROPERTIES!!!!! I can't tell you how awful Stan Properties were to deal with. They totally ruined half our trip as we were only there for a long weekend and we had no keys and no way of getting in and they were impossible to deal with. Don't be fooled by the pictures either. When you get into the room, it is dirty and poorly equipt. With all the great options out there...DO NOT choose STAN PROPERTIES!!!!

I stayed at the South Water location, and it was terrible from the moment we opened the door. The cleaning man was just starting to clean well after the check-in time, but hardly did anything. The apartment was filthy. Stained carpets (not just a spot, but as though there was a coffee and wine fight!), marked-up walls, and dirty counters. It looked like a bachelor's pads.

There also was no promised internet. I called, and they told me to find the router. There was no router, but they spoke to me like I was an idiot and didn't know what one looked like. They finally decided that it was stolen.

I had to call and call again to receive any help. Everyone seemed a bit shady in my dealings. Terrible vibe with this company, and, as I see elsewhere on TripAdvisor, I'm not the only one.

I'm still in the process of trying to receive back money paid. They are shifting me around and avoiding me. Please avoid the trouble with this company and go elsewhere.
