The atmosphere at Gibsons was lovely. The food was very good - I hate to admit this, but I had 4 slices of that incredible raisin bread, before my steak even arrived.
With this being day two in Chicago, and having adjusted to the huge portions restaurants in Chicago seem to serve, my husband and I knew to share our meal. And we agreed that the steak was good, I wouldn't say it was the best steak I've ever had..but it was cooked property, and was very good.
Having said that, when we return to Chicago, we will dine at Gibsons again because of our waiter, Michael K. He is the reason we will return (and we will ask to sit in his section!). Michael was such a treat - he had such a sunny disposition, and he answered our NUMEROUS questions and gave us so many ideas about what to do with our time in Chicago, it was really this personal touch that made our evening so special.
