This is a beautiful property, extremely well managed. The staff are bright, helpful, and well trained. Beautiful, tasteful rooms. We were upgraded to a suite for a night of our stay. Sofitel is obviously proud of their property and focused on the guest's comfort and having a positive experience. The location is very convenient (even if you choose the train from O'Hare there is a stop nearby) for shopping,restaurants, etc. They also have a terrific restaurant on the property. However, I don't think that they had a hand in the 70 degree temps we experienced during our visit in November 2010 (but I wouldn't be surprised!).

Beautiful building inside and out, great location, great choice with shopping and restaurants nearby. Onsite restaurant is worthwhile (try the set menu).

My wife and I recently stayed at the Sofitel and cannot speak highly enough about it. From the Valet to the front desk personnel to the servers in the restaurant, everyone was very nice and helpful. The rooms are very pleasant with very nice ammenities. The location of the property cannot be beat as it is located in the heart of the Gold Coast area. Le Bar, located off the lobby, is a great place to enjoy a pre restaurant cocktail. We found this to be a rather incredible hotel for the price we paid. We will most certainly be returning!

We booked for four nights but missed connection and had three. Room was fantastic with robe and slippers, Perfect view of Hancock Tower and glimpses of lake. Wouldn't normally eat in hotel restaurants but we did and it was michelin class, together with muse bouche's etc. Breakfast couldn't fault. Brilliant location. Great bar. We've now stayed in Sofitel in Lisbon and I think it was Philadelphia always top class.
