I stayed here once last year and I don't recall anything bad about the stay. This time around things are different. The room looks like something out of an Ikea catalog. Not bad but definitely not homey. It's very dorm-like. The bathroom is spacious but the toilet keeps running and they can't fix it until tomorrow. They did offer to move my room when I reported it but I was already completely unpacked and tired and that would have been too big a hassle at that point. The shower also smells like mold. It looks clean but something isn't right in there. There was a mark from a glass on the bathroom countertop that I didn't put there so I'm not very confident about the meticulousness of the maids. Oh, and you can clearly hear the elevated train each time it goes by. Overall it's alright. It isn't great but it will do. I have to stay here several more times in the next few weeks for business so I hope it's just this room and not the entire property. Time will tell.

Depending on the price you can get, this is a great alternative for the theatre district, the opera, or any other activities situated toward the west side of the loop. The room I had was amazingly spacious, especially for accommodations in a big city. Huge work area looking out the windows, very comfortable bed, mini fridge, and coffee maker. My one quibble: it would have been nice to have an easy chair situated for reading and watching TV... there certainly is room. Also very friendly and efficient staff.

I stay here frequently. It took the staff several visits before they started to recognize me as a regular, but now they help make this a great stay.

Very strong value, not strong on a amenities.

This hotel is in a great location for anyone working near the Sears Tower or the western part of the Loop. Since it was built a few years ago I've stayed here on business trips a few times a year.

It's definitely the nicest La Quinta property I've ever seen. It's practically brand-new, which shows in the cleanliness and the condition of the rooms, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The free breakfast, although certainly not gourmet, is extensive (waffles, eggs, sausages, fruit, the usual spread of cereal, bread, and pastries) and is a great help when you're rushing off to the office.
