“Fantastic place to stay in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood”

The guest suite was absolutely perfect--huge comfortable bed and furnishings. If you want to experience the joy of living in Lincoln Park, you could not do better than the Lincoln Park Guest House. Our host was very pleasant and welcoming. Easy access to public transportation, easy to hail a taxi, and close to many fabulous restaurants and shopping.
They have thoughtfully furnished the room with everything you would ever think to need-- a little fridge, coffee maker, mugs, desk, writing supplies and extra bath amenities, such as a disposable razor etc. Feels like a stay at a friend’s house!

“Home Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

The Lincoln Park Guest House is a great B&B place to stay. There is a beautiful common room for reading and up the stairs is the lovely guest quarters that is bright, airy, and clean. The bed is phenomenal - almost cloud-like in comfort. Sharon Durling, the proprietress is warm and inviting - so much so she has carried my luggage up the stairs for me! My husband and I travel to Chicago a great deal and LPGH has become an oasis home away from home. All this and an EXCELLENT location: accessible to many forms of mass transportation and cabs, dining, and nightlife in a neighborhood setting. Yes I would recommend LPGH to a friend and I have!

“Charming house in a great location without the five star rates of downtown Chicago”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2010

I loved the huge king size bed and feel of a luxurious room and bathroom but a more comfortable home setting. I was able to walk all around the neighborhood with access to cute shops, restaurants and coffeeshops. You will be very happy here especially in the prime Lincoln Park location which is also convenient to downtown or friends in the northside of the city.

“Superb”

This gem combines the informality and friendliness of a bed-and-breakfast with many of the amenities of a five-star hotel (Wi-Fi, immaculate bathroom, cutesy chocolates at the bedside, in-room fridge and snacks, iPhone player/charger, loads of tourist brochures and a neighborhood guide, a sleep-sounds machine, fluffy towels and a cozy bed). Like the last reviewer, I stayed in the TV-less room--it was cheapest. Who needs a TV when there's so much to do? The neighborhood is packed with shops and restaurants, and the Fullerton subway stop a few blocks away connects you with the rest of Chicago. They do not take credit cards--I paid on arrival via Paypal on my iPhone. And as the other reviewer noted, breakfast is not included.

“Truly fabulous accommodations; best location--ever!!!”

This guest house really outdid our expectations. It was a truly gorgeous quiet and private king suite - rich silk draperies, two-story ceiling, very bright and sunny, had private entry area. The bath was bright white and spotless (we weren't exactly sure what to expect since have been disappointed with B&Bs in the past.) We also had access to the large and well-appointed living room of the house (this was a common area.)

It was so well decorated -- leather king bed and matching leather bench, sort of a Paris Eiffel-Tower theme. We were really surprised to get this much for what seemed to be a really low B&B sort of price.

But it'snot really a bed and breakfast because no meals served. There was an in-room refrigerator and we walked to one of many starbucks in the area and a breakfast-specialty restaurant a block away. Another thing-- no television. We read this on the website, and it did not matter to us, but if you want to catch some news, you'll have to listen to the radio or use their wifi with your laptop or whatever. We are DEFINITELY coming back on here on our next Chicago trip. Loved the neighborhood--last time we stayed on Michigan Ave, but loved this neighborhood feel, theatre district and boutiques so much more. Recommended.
