The service was good, the room was clean, and the location was convenient. For what I paid, it was a very good deal. The hotel restaurant was okay, nothing special, but there were other options nearby . The room was clean, with some amenities, although rather small. Staff members were very nice and professional.

I arrived at 11am with my wife after an early flight and expected to just be able to leave our luggage but to my surprise we were allowed to check in. That was a great start! We had a small bed which looked to small for me since I'm 6'6". I guess it was a Queen which should have been sufficient, but I guess I'm just used to having a King Bed. Anyway I called the front desk and they upgraded us to a King Size room and they even sent someone up to our room with the new keys!

As others have said the beds are very comforatble and the bathrooms are nice. I also have to comment that the gas fireplace in the lobby bar area put off a ton of heat. Very nice. An finally the free coffee in the lobby in the morning was great. I don't think I've ever made the instant cofffee that most hotel rooms have.

I don't know if I would say this is a 4star hotel, but for the price you can get it on Priceline it's well worth it. I paid $73 but I would have been happy paying $110+.


Just one small compliant. The alarm clock didn't illuminate so you couldn't tell the time when the room was dark.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel Felix for 2 nights after booking on Priceline. As others have said, the room was small. I read prior reviews and expected that, so it wasn't a big deal. It was comfortable and worked for what we needed - a place to sleep. The check in process was easy, staff was nice, the room was nicely decorated, clean and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint would be with the bathroom sink. The faucet was so close to the sink, there was barely room to get one hand under to wash your hands or face. All in all though, it was a minor inconvenience for two days and not a big deal. The hotel was within walking distance to Michigan Ave and to the L train (red line I think?). I don't think I would pay full price for this hotel as there are so many others in the area to choose from, but via Priceline it was a good deal!

I arrived at the hotel several hours early and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman at the desk who allowed me to check in after my early morning of travel (such a relief to have a place to unwind other than a train station). The room was small, as expected from other reviews, so that wasn't a problem for me. I was also traveling alone. I had seen a young family in the lobby when I was checking in, so I was curious how the stay worked out for them...seems to me that there's a definite 2-person max per room, regardless of your size. The bathroom was very nice, and the shampoos/soaps smelled great. Very comfortable bed, and because the rooms are small, the temperature can be adjusted within minutes! I stayed two nights, and the cleaning staff were great about getting to work while I was gone for the day: they noticed that I had used a restaurant's styrofoam cup (Portillos!) to drink water from, so provided me with extra hotel cups in the bathroom, which I thought was very thoughtful...especially since my water had been tasting like a strawberry shake. They were also kind enough to leave the desk cleared (I had removed all of the hotel materials so that I could get some work done). Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff is super friendly, the accommodations are comfortable, the free coffee in the lobby 7-10am is a nice touch, and I got a great deal on Priceline. My only complaint, since I expected the size of the room, was the level of neighbor noise. Of course I heard horns outside, but hey, it's Chicago. It was just strange to me to be able to hear my neighbors' conversations in the hall, and some of their...early morning rituals. But hey, c'est la vie!
