This hotel has nice location. Only 10 min walk to Chicago Art Institute and other sights. But rooms and equipment are too old! I have chenged rooms twice, because heaters were too noisy as on a plant! I could not sleep at all! And finally I got quiet room, but I got freezing every night. Stuff was very friendly, but this hotel REALLY needs RENOVATION! It ned to be fixed!

The Best Western Grant Park is located perfectly on S. Michigan Av, a short walk to most tourist sites, close by to lots of good restaurants & breakfast places.
A short 1 minute walk across the road finds you I Grant Park. It's probably about a 20 minute walk up to Millennium Park but easy enough to get the L train straight up which cuts the journey down to about 5/10 minutes. (nearest station to the hotel is Roosevelt, just round the corner)

Rooms were a little dated but clean enough & just what I needed for the weekend.

Good to note for breakfast is Yolk, also on Michigan Av & almost next door to the hotel. Their breakfast menu was amazing with great service and amazing food. Coffee here was also lovely.
On the street behind the hotel is Eleven Diner which has an all day breakfast menu. Food here was also great & kept me going for the rest of the day!

Hotel is great value for money for its position.

Last October my wife and I decided to take a short vacation but couldn't find any deals down south, so we opted for a city vacation in Chicago. We definitely fell in love with the city and would recommend Chicago to anyone for its walkability and many attractions (museums, landmarks, restaurants, etc.). While in Chicago, we stayed at the Best Western Grant Park Hotel. For the money, it offered us the best location (walking distance from the waterfront, public transit, and several museums). It's a Best Western, not a Fairmont, so don't expect the world but the room was clean, check-in and check-out were without incident, and the location was awesome. If anything, we could only complain about the fact that accessing the Internet from their lobby-based computers was next to useless (slow!!). Some people may be put off by some of the noise from the above-ground rail system but hey...that's Chicago (and thank goodness for the train's close proximity since it took us from/to the airport). Being downtown has its perks. There are also many diners, pharmacies, and supermarkets in the general area. At the Grant Park, you're never far from any of the essential amenities. I would definitely stay there again and if you're bigger on practicality than luxury, then the Grant Park is for you.

Spent a night here and loved it, staff was friendly, room was a bit small. But the bed made up for it all, room also clean
