During my last trip to Chicago, I believe this was one of the more enjoyable things I've done in the city for a while. We visit Chicago about once a year, so I had seen most of the standard tourist attractions, but I was looking for something different. This definitely fit the criteria.
As some other reviewers mentioned, this is billed as a food tour, but it is not really a food tour especially if you are a true foodie. The food was fine, but if you enjoy and experience food, you probably won't walk away saying to yourself, "This is the best food I've ever experienced!"
The food does add a nice dimension to a tour experience, but the real value is in the knowledge of the tour guide and the history and architecture you learn about off the beaten path restaurants and the surrounding neighborhoods. I did the Old Town/Gold Coast tour. Next year, I think I will try the Chinatown tour.
Its a relaxing way to spend a good part of the afternoon, and gives you a nice opportunity to interact with people also on the tour.
If you enjoy walking and seeing new things that generally aren't covered in the tourist guides, I believe you will enjoy the experience.
