We had planned to stay two nights at this hotel since it was closer to our destination, but checked out after the first night. For one thing, almost no one here, when we checked in at 8:00 at night - that should have been telling. Then when we entered the very small lobby - it reeked of smoke. The hallways reeked of smoke on the first floor, despite the fact that all the rooms there appeared to be marked 'no smoking'. The room was bettetr, but the furniture was very worn and tired and it really looked like it had seen better days. Room was miniscule too. We came out to look at the breakfast area in the morning and decided to skip it and go out. Only three small tables crammed in the very small area and the food did not look too pure - a gallon jug of milk sitting in a mini frig, for example. Plus the room was very hot despite the early time of day. Staff was nice, but did not make up for the hotel. We went over to Pontiac and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express which was like the Taj Mahal compared to this place - plus a very nice breakfast, larger room and only $15 more a night. Well worth it.
