We spent 2 nights at a cabin in the Cave-In-Rock state park, and had a great time. It was our first trip to the area. It is off of the beaten path, but not really a long drive from the Nashville area. There is a free ferry in town that takes you across the river to Kentucky, where you can explore and shop in an Amish area. It is very peaceful, with a wonderful view overlooking the Ohio river. The cabin has plenty of room, but does have thin walls between the 2 halves of the duplex. We loved watching the barges on the river. The restaurant at the state park served a good variety of food at reasonable prices, and the one meal that we ate there was excellent. Overall, a great place to stay and explore!

We stayed one night in a room at the State Park. It was really one
side of a "duplex." Our room was huge...and we enjoyed a large
wrap-around deck which over-looked the Ohio River. The satellite dish offerd
tons of programming, but there are no phones in the rooms. The weather
was fantastic so we really enjoyed our stay and the price was very
reasonable.
