We stayed here because it was only 46 bucks. Big mistake. Well, you get what you pay for....and it was a dirty dump. We didn't bother staying the whole night. The parking lot was loaded with weed smoking, alcohol drinking gang bangers. When we walked in the lobby it was like walking into a motel in haiti. The room was disgusting with nasty pubic hair and slum stains (bodily fluids) everywhere on the sheets etc... The couple above us on third floor were having very noisy and violent sounding sex. The headboards and and bed sounded like it was going to cave in on top of us. On top of all that disturbing noise, we had to call the front desk to tell them that the person above us was over filling his bathtub. Their bathtub started over-pouring through his floor/our ceiling and it literally looking like it was raining in our hotel room. When I called front desk to complain, they asked us if we wanted another room. I told them no thanks, we just want a refund. She said no, she couldn't do that because "we had spent most of the day already" This was at 10:00pm and we were there itching in our room. Yes, itching from the fleas or whatever. "Bottom line, is this place is a dump and they would not give us a refund. This motel is made for lowlifes seeking a room to use drugs and have quick filthy sex in. The doors have stickers that say "We strongly suggest you lock doors for your protection". That was the big red flag that motel 6 in east st louis is not a safe place.
Do not , I repeat DO NOT stay here. You have been forewarned!!!

I have never stayed at a motel 6 in my life, and I will never stay there again. The employees are rude, The carpets here were filthy, the mattresses were very hard I woke up with a terrible backache, the cover is filthy, the rooms smell of mildew; it was just awful. I would not recommend anyone stay there unless they go in and do major renovations and cleanup. I'm not trying to be mean but people should know what to expect when considering staying at this place. AWFUL......AWFUL.....AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Motel offers excellent access to St. Louis City (MO), St. Louis (ILL) and Fairview Heights Metrolink Station (light rail). Highly competitive rates when compared to surrounding hotels (note that Motel6 does not appear on most hotel search engines). Rooms on the west offer view of Arch in the distance. Rooms are simple but comfortable and staff were courteous and willing to help. Would stay there again.
