. We had a block of rooms set aside for our group. When the GM returned from vacation, he cancelled ALL OF THEM and stated, he didn't want that type of crowd here! Mind you, our group does nothing that is illegal and we have never had a complaint from a hotel in the past! I didn't know you had to be of a certain ilk to patronize Motel 6! We would like to say that Days Inn across the street gave us an excellent price (twice now), has been nothing but courteous and helpful as has other nearby hotels. If you need several rooms, ask Days Inn. They will take care of you and treat you with the respect that ny human being deserves!

When I first arrived at this motel it was about 10:30 at night and I could not find the entrance to the property because it is located on a highway. I had to pull my luggage through a field to the front door. When I asked the lady at the front desk about it she was not very helpful. The next morning when I got up to leave I finally found a road that lead to and from the property. It was in the back around the side. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

They are a cheap motel. No clock, coffee maker or hair dyer in the room. Beds very hard. Room was not very clean,mold around shower. The air conditioner made a very loud noise when it came on. Overall motel was not clean. Staff was rude. If you don't need much from a motel this is a place for you to stay.

Arrived, lost reservation made on Motel 6 website. Got my room (booked for 5 nights), clerk made a mistake billed for one night; had to reswipe my credit card again.
Got to the room, old dirty floors (stains). Middle of the night smelled strong mildew order. Got up in my bare feet, carpet next to air unit was soaked and "squishy", went back to bed disgusted. Next morning at 7 am on my way out told them to fix the unit it was leaking or move me to another room. Got back at 6 pm; floor still soaked. Went to front desk asked what the problem was; said she didn't know; moved to room next door. That room air conditioner very noisy and smelled like urine. Checked my credit card statement they billed me twice for the week. Went to front desk she stated "no they did not bill me twice" told her they did she said would have to see the manager in the morning. Next morning told them what they did she stated I would have to call my credit card company to get it changed. I told her "I was not chasing my money on billing mistakes they made". Said she was sorry. Next day bill was credited the right amount. Very questionable clientele, very close to East St. Louis and attracts low end people. Slept with my pistol in the bed with me. Won't come back to this hotel ever again.
