My family was in town for a wedding and this hotel was where the block of rooms for the wedding guests was. In addition to our group, there was a Little League tournament going on. The hotel was completely full. To start with, they selected this weekend to have the majority of the parking lot closed off due to repaving (including the undercover entrance). The card keys didn't always work and sometimes took over 5 minutes to get to work in the door, if at all. My sister and I got locked out of our room and then she and my dad got locked out of the side door in the pouring rain. No one was manning the front dest the majority of the time. My cousins had to wait 15 minutes when they arrived at 3:30 in the morning (with 3 young children in tow) and one morning while we were sitting in the lobby, someone else was hollering for them, but took at least 5 minutes for anyone to help him.
The pool and hot tub seemed nice, but there was a green stain on the cement where the water was placed in the two (possibly algae?). My cousin asked them check the chlorine levels and no one knew how to check them.
Our room was very humid feeling, even with the AC running. The carpet was very sticky when walking on it your shoes would stick, and whatever it was stayed on your shoes. I had paper that got stuck on my shoes after walking on the carpet. The one highlight were the beds, they were very comfortable.
There was supposed to be free high speed internet, but I was never able to get my iPod touch to find it. My dad had a hard time getting his computer to connect as well.
Both Saturday and Sunday morning, they ran out of food in the continental breakfast. They didn't seem to be prepared for having a full house.
I've stayed in a lot of different Hampton Inns and this one doesn't hold up to their standard.

Nothing special, but best place in Carol Stream on a budget - and certainly better than the local Holiday Inn. It's pretty random - where am I today kind of place, but on the plus side it's clean, safe and a fair value.

I've stayed at this hotel a half dozen times now and am not interested in anywhere else. I periodically work a mile away, so the location is perfect. If you're looking for a hotel right off the expressway, this isn't it. It's several miles away, but definitely worth it. I've never encountered issues with bugs, maintenance, noise, etc. Breakfast is good: fruit, cereal, you-make waffles, etc. Malnati's delivers good pizza too.

The bed is very comfy - firm with a pillow top. Bed and bath were very clean. However, the carpet was filthy. When walking across with rubber soled shoes, they stuck to the carpet. Same thing in bathroom. It appeared they sprayed the carpet with freshener which made it sticky. Not vacuumed next to baseboards. Don't go barefoot. The breakfast had many choices, was fresh and a good value. Also nice "to-go" breakfast bags. Nice pool, hot tub, and gym facilities. In spite of the carpet, it was still a comfortable stay and agood value, and the staff were friendly.
