I booked a block of rooms for my wedding via Orbitz at this particular Extended Stay America. An excellent rate was offered, only $64/night. Then when I started to modify individual room reservations, they almost doubled the room rate to $116/night for the modified reservations. Seeing that the discount rate was stil offered online, I cancelled the original block, and booked a new block. I was just trying to save everyone the trouble of modifying reservations, and I figured it would be easier to add nights, than to take nights away. Upon seeing this, the manager at Extended Stay upped ALL of the room rates from $64/night to $116/night, even though Orbitz was still was still quoting $64/night. In other words, I was singled out and deliberately punished for modifying my original room reservation(s) and for re-booking a new block. I can't believe how petty this manager's behavior was. If you are planning a wedding or other event in the area, STAY AWAY from this particular Extended Stay. They can't be trusted. God forbid, one of your guests can't stay as long as the others. Or, what if your guests actually do end up staying there and happen to upset the manager. I wonder what retribution they may suffer?
