Do not stay at this hotel! If you must, do not stay in the pool area. Dirty sheets (we had to change our own as "housekeeping" had already left. Mold and mildew everywhere. Wires sticking out of the floors, Big yellow utility power strip with cord running through middle of room because outlets did not work. Carpet in rooms had not been vacuumed. locks did not work. Hotel is owned by the bank. They have lost their liquor license and bar is closed.

We came there for a basketball tournament, 12 kids 8 adults. Needed 6 rooms for 3 nights. I had to come up 1 night early at the last minute so I booked a room over the phone from the hotel front desk. When I arrived it was about 11pm and we were very tired. The front dest area looked very well kept and inviting. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. And The dream ended there, The pool area clearly showed that this was once a no tell motel with a front desk area that was recently built on to the building. The pool and hot tub is located where there used to be parking, you can tell. My room looked as if the maintenance staff never ventured into this part of the hotel. Bathtub fixtures broken and laying in the tub. Dirt on the toilet and bathroom floor. Cable wires hanging exposed accross the walls. My A.C. vents were full of dirt and dust and the fire detector was hanging from one screw on the wall. They still had plate glass windows from the old establishment with curtains that moved if you had on the ac so that anyony walking down the hall had a clear view of your room. I called and asked for a different room and was told there was none ready. My kids were tired and cranky and had basketball games early the next morning so I let them sleep in the bed while I sat up in a chair in front of the curtain to keep it from blowing open at night. My entire team skipped this place the rest of the tournament. Clarion? Stay Away.

We checked in on a night in January. We checked out a half hour later. Enough said? I've never,ever left a hotel before. The halls were dingy, very dark, and freezing. Our room was the same. Even the "hot tub" was freezing! We (my daughter and I) were scared to walk through the halls, as they just felt dirty and frightening. Worst of all, two strange, disreputable-looking men were hanging out in them, and they didn't appear to be customers. The first girl at check-in was rude and unhelpful. Fortunately, the second when we complained about the lack of heat and checked out was very polite. I thought the picture on the internet looked like a fun,retro-style place. Never trust pictures!

We stayed for 20 minutes it was so bad. We had booked 2 rooms in advance beacuse the website has nice pictures...those must be from another hotel. One room was 79 degrees and the other was 85 degrees. Yellow stains on matressess, missing tv, and too small to stand in. Only thing this room was good for was to call another hotel.
