“The people at Double Tree really know how to take care of you.”

We hold a conference each year for about 500 people, and I always use the Double Tree. Last year we had 15 inches of snow, and many of our guests were not able to attend. Those of us that attended couldn't get out for food or to get home for a couple of days. They took care of us like we were family, even to the point of setting up video games and movies for us to watch to entertain us.

This year we had wonderful weather, and they were able to take care of the whole group. On Tuesday they served 350 people chicken dinners in less than and hour and everyone had a great hot meal.

They go out of the way to make sure each and every guest is taken care of. I stay here for business and personal time.

Great location.

Room Tip: If you are wanting a nice couples room, they have some very nice suites...

Dear Gasman33357,
We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on our property and your meeting. Whats more than that, we surely appreciate your trust with us on your group. It is so rewarding to be able to make a positive impact to such a large group! As you know, SERVICE is not an option with us, it's a CULTURE!
And ahhh yes, the snowstorm! We had a great time in trying to overcome such an obstacle as the 19" of snow. We all hope that your group found our 2012 Snowmageddon Reunion party as a fun welcome back to Bloomington!
You mean the world to us and we hope that other groups will give us the opportunity to show off what we do!

“Best Location in Bloomington”

The is the best Doubletree location that I have stayed at. The staff is incredible! The breakfast and omlette was better thatn most local resturants. The bed is the best that I have ever slept on. The HD TV had a great picture. Definately will stay there everytime I am in Bloomington.

only con: internet access during the day time whnen they are hosting a conference or large meeting. THe available internet sessions were all used at 9:00 AM during my trip.

Dear rodbod24,
Thank you for allowing us to serve you during your trip to Bloomington. We apologize for the internet connection delay as we found over 225 people trying to access at once in our meetings. The cause and effect was a simple sign for us to once again, upgrade our system. We are proud that we will be building a state of the art, internet superhighway connection for our property. It will take us a little time as we have hired a company to upgrade all of our hardware, software, wiring and access points, but the end result will be spectactular!

“Mmmm, okay I guess.”

I had the opportunity to spend two separate weeks at this hotel and the stay was okay. The staff was very nice and attentive. Breakfast was so-so. They did have an omelette cook for one of the mornings, which was nice. The first week that I was there, I stood in a standard room which was nice.There was a second sink just outside the bathroom which I am sure would be real helpful if you are traveling with someone. The second week I stood in a suite which was more than enough room. The bathroom was huge! The gym was tiny and made me feel a bit claustrophobic. With all that being said, I am not sure if there is a better hotel in Bloomington.

Thanks for your input on the Doubletree by Hilton - Bloomington, IL!!!
We appreciate and value responses as a key factor in our future. We are currently changing over our breakfast to a healthy start for the day. We do offer Omlets four days of the week and offer over 20 other items for whatever our guest taste may be. We are happy that you were able to be upgraded to one of our 12 suites. They are large and now we are currently in process of renovating our top floor suites! Sorry you found the Fitness Center to be a little small. We have approximately 250+ square feet with Precor Fitness Equipment. Yes, I would love to have a larger space, but we want to concentrate on the areas that will effect all guest. We may be looking in the future to relocate the fitness area to gain more space.

I have stayed at this hotel three times now. It is very comfortable, great staff and overall each stay has been very nice.

If you are in the area, you can't go wrong here.

“Romance package ripoff”

whirlpool leaked, lotion was used, lied to by clerk, not given ANYTHING promised in our romance package, way over priced, too many problems to fit here

Room Tip: My tip would be NOT to stay at this hotel, they obviously don't care.
