Keep in mind that this review is coming from someone who is an extreme germaphobe and ocd neat freak. I generally only stay at 4.5 star and up hotels and still get wigged out by the cleanliness. I don't even give my OWN home a 5. This hotel was a 3 out of 5 easily on the clean scale. It wasn't dirty so much as in need of some updating. Chipped paint on walls, stains on carpet, old TV with poor reception etc. Smelled deliciously clean in the halls, though. The pool area was spacious, warm, and clean. Towels were coninually stocked. We stayed over thanksgiving just so the kids could have somewhere to swim. We live only a couple miles away. I was a little worried about the area, but it was fine. The lot is very private and walking distance from McDonalds and Cracker Barrel, but I wouldn't recommend walking any further. The beds were super clean, updated white bedding, and very comfy. Rooms are absolutely huge. Breakfast was well stocked, high quality, and fresh. Waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, muffins, and toast. They never ran out of anything and the hotel was packed. They had someone in the kitchen constantly cooking and bringing out more fresh hot food all morning. Room temp was easily managable. Staff was very very friendly. My kids like cookies and milk before bed, and I'd forgotten the milk. The front desk clerk told me to help myself to the milk in the breakfast dining room machine at no charge. So as far as what you get for the price, I would definately return.
