Excellent hotel visit , nice friendly service desk , huge room with nice large windows , the pool was awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quiet and nice all around place good for my money !!!

On my second stay here, had similar issues with the first time: to get the room hot/cool, cranking up the fan on the window unit succeeds in little beyond billowing the curtains out (it was night, first floor room--leaving curtains open wasn't an option). Room was big-ish for a hotel room (not so much to be called a 'suite'). The in-room kitchen area was void of plates, utensils, etc--things that would be useful when you have a 'kitchen'. Bathroom was old. Dated. Felt dinge-y, even though it was well lit. Some kind of 'stain' down most of the shower curtain, and someone else's nail file by the mirror. Breakfast buffet was stale bagels and limited assortment of cereals, etc. It was one night, midway between Chicago and St. Louis, convenient to the highway, so it gets points there, but will consider elsewhere for the next stay.

I stayed here for our family reunion that was in Bloomington. I originally booked the room through the hotel and a few days before the reunion I found a cheaper price on hotels.com. I contacted the hotel to cancel my reservations at that time however they still charged my credit card for a their cancellation fee. Prior to me checking out of the hotel I noticed the charge from the hotel and I spoke with the manager who explained that since the charge is pending it should not post....well it did. I've been waiting for them to give me credit back for almost a month and I also have not received the certificate for overnight stay for my inconvenience like they promised either...really don't care about receiving overnight stay because I had the worst sleep ever...the beds are hard. When I first walked into the room it looks nice...a few updates needed but otherwise I thought it was okay. I stayed there 2 nights and every morning by body ached from sleeping on such a hard mattress and the sheets are not soft they are nubby as stated in one of the previous post. I called the 800 customer service number to make my complaint...oh such a waste of time.

Worst hotel experience ever! Roaches in the room. This hotel is filthy , ABSOLUTELY filty, carpet filthy, human hairs on the towels, stench coming from everywhere. Could not wait for the morning to come so my night of terror would come to an end. Do they rent this room by the hour?
