THE BAD: The most annoying thing I ran into with this hotel was that the staff kept changing so I felt like I was never dealing with the same person.
One woman gave me a detailed "map" of the way the room would be set up on the day of my wedding and apparently, no one else got this "map" because it was completely wrong. I had to get the person that was in charge on the day before my wedding multiple directions on where to put the tables. I already had everything planned and couldn't really afford to have everything in a different place.
It would have been nice if they had taken the extra meals I paid for and put them in boxes for me to take home. After all, I did pay over $50/person that decided not to show up. They also "forgot" to give me the top tier of my cake and my cake topper and my mom had to go back to get it.
The people at the front desk were not always consistent in everything they said.
THE GOOD: The food was seriously amazing, especially for wedding food. The bartender definitely didn't make weak drinks.
The people that I dealt with always seemed very nice. One man that worked there said that we were some of the nicest people he's ever worked with. That just goes to show you that when you're nice to people, they'll be nice back.
On the day of my wedding, if anything went wrong with anything that had to do with the Parke Hotel, they sure didn't bother me about it and everything seemed to go very smoothly.
We had the "honeymoon suite". I don't think it's actually called that, but it should be. It's basically two rooms with a door between them. One room has a king size bed, a TV, a desk, a jacuzzi tub (which was very nice), and a bathroom. The other room has a chair, a desk, a TV, a microwave, a mini fridge (which we filled with soda and Red Bull for myself and my bridesmaids), a pullout couch, a coffee table, and another bathroom. It was so great for getting ready in the morning.
The breakfast in the morning is very good. I know some people have said that it wasn't, but it might depend on the day (it was Sunday morning) and it might depend on what time. I'm pretty sure we were there right in the middle. If you go at the end of breakfast, you probably won't be left with as many choices as you would at the beginning.
