We had stayed at the hotel previously and had a good experience. This time, however, there were very few patrons which meant that the breakfast was minimal, at best. We couldn't even find plates to use and no one was around to help. The hotel is very nice but it's sad that few people choose it. We had a long wait to check-in as there was no one at the front desk. They could not locate our reservation for 9/8/11. They finally did find it in November's reservations. Luckily they were not very busy so we were provided a room, but not the room we reserved, which was a suite. Had to switch rooms then. The suite was one big room, no separation between living area and bedroom. The pool was closed. Our stay was OK with the exception of breakfast but I'll probably chose another hotel in the future.

When I was told what hotel to book for a conference in Bloomington, the Parke hotel invoke the response "what??" but upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised.

The room was clean and spacious. There was a refrigerator, microwave and HD TV. The conference center was attached and convenient.

I liked that the hotel was out in the country and quiet. Shopping and restaurants were about 5 minutes away.

We booked your hotel through one of the discount travel sites. After having a couple of bad experiences at other Bloomington hotels, I decided to go with a higher quality hotel.
The Parke was very clean & the staff could not have been more welcoming. My husband enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
The room was immaculate and the walk in shower was a nice change of pace. The bed was very comfortable but I wish it was a pillow top.
We will definitely choose the Parke next time we visit out friends in Bloomington (we visit 3-4 times a year).

We have stayed at this hotel almost every time we come to Bloomington, which is about every 2-3 months. It is very comfortable, and upscale. The only problem with our room was that the carpet tacks between the tile and carpet were sticking through and I had to lay a towel down so my 15 month old would not step on them. The continental breakfast is HORRIBLE. The bacon is super thin and way over cooked, the pancakes are like hockey pucks and the french toast is rubbery. And when they run out of sausage they only bring out 2-4 pieces at a time and I have to ask for more of anything when they run out. And this is not just a one time occurrence, this is every time we have stayed. For being such a nice hotel the breakfast doesn't match up.
