April 8th we stayed in the "suite with a hot tub". Upon entering the room there was a musty/moldy smell. I purchased a can of lysol and sprayed the entire room letting it air out while we went to dinner. The carpet was filthy and stained. The decor had not been remodled in over 20 years and was quite dated. Mold in the shower and the floor of the bathroom. The hot tub leaked water onto the carpeted floor, thus the moldy smell. The carpet was sopping wet for nearly 5 feet into the room. There is no exaust fan in the hot tub room so the room becomes a steam bath when in use. We used it after I sprayed it down with lysol. It was late and we could not find another room at that hour.

Peeling wallpaper. No fitted sheets on the king size bed, just a flat sheet covering the matress. That meant by morning we were sleeping on the naked matress absolutely unsanitary and disgusting to say the least.

In the morning I complained to the attendant/owner? He appologized and said that he had let his kids play in the hot tub and they must have gotten the carpet wet. I didnt buy his story. The carpet was sopping wet. He didnt not offer to refund us.

This room cost 95$ I would have gladly paid twice that price for a clean, updated room. I will never stay there again. I wish I had taken photos. Health department needs to check this place out.

  • Liked — absolutely nothing
  • Disliked — The smell, no fitted sheet, water on the carpet.

Went for a weekend shopping trip, only stayed for one night. It was a little difficult to find at first due to contruction and there was one way in, one way out. I have a weenie dog and they were fine w/ her, cost $10 extra a night, not bad. Got the Jacuzzi suite. When we checked in the clerk, Alicia was very nice and helpful, gave us bubble packs for the jacuzzi. (They didn't work but I had bubble bath anyway) The lobby was quaint but very nice. Got to our room, a faint musty odor like someone had smoked when it was a non-smoking room, but not too bad. The room was nice, some wear & tear, but bed was huge & comfy. The Jacuzzi was big but the head rests had some cracks in them. I put a towel over them because I have a think about wet foam, yuck. LOL. The bathroom was on the otherside of our room, very small and slightly outdated and it was hard to get warm since it was far away from the heating unit. Had a love seat and coffe table, was nice. Our windows to our room & jacuzzi room over looked the dumpster but ya can't have it all, right? Also, some noisy people running up and down metal stairs right outside our door. Overall, I'd stay here again, but it isn't the ritz to quote a fellow-reviewer, but after all, I didn't pay ritz money either. Just bein honest.

  • Liked — The staff, when we locked ourselves out, Alicia BROUGHT US another key!!!
  • Disliked — Noisy stairs outside of room

This motel is OK, rooms are old and not the cleanest. They have been working on improving the motel, paint ect. In our room TV did not work right, bathroom was dirty and the place was damp.

If you are going to Belleville, Il this is a good location right downtown and in a safe area. Front desk staff is very helpful .

I have mixed reviews about this one. First, the staff was very nice and very accomodating. We checked in around 11pm after a long day of working and driving and just wanted to relax. The front desk attendant was very quick about checking us in (1 pt for them). We got to our room which was on the second floor right above the office. There was a door that went right to the stairs that took us to our door, she then told us that we couldn't use it, we had to go around through the parking lot...IN THE RAIN (take away that point!). So now, we get up the stairs to our room, wet and cold...I went straight to find the heater...couldn't reach it, seems you have to be about six feet tall to do so...see the pictures I'm attaching (oops...minus another point). The room itself was average in cleanliness, on the surface it was spotless, but I pulled the bedside table out to look for an outlet...I found food crumbs, a couple napkins and I don't know what else. We had a queen, the bed was really hard but I think most of the Super 8's are. We had a loveseat in our room, that was kinda nice, the TV was half snowy depending on what channel you had it on. Also, it was a little noisy (maybe another pic I am posting will explain why) Also, the parking lot doesn't have enough spaces for the number of rooms it has, I got my car hit! Nobody came clean to claim it but that's not the hotels fault. Will I stay here again? NO. It's not really that bad, if you are just wanting somewhere to lay your head for a few hours but for someone spending a few days....look elsewhere, after all, it's Super 8 neg six points!!

I had been driving all day from Virginia, pulled off 64E and stayed here. It was pouring rain out, and this was a pleasent surprise. The young lady on the front desk duty that night (Sarah?) was outstanding, and the room was spotless and perfectly comfortable The next morning I was given helpful directions and a map by the kind gentleman on the front desk duty. My stay here was wonderful.
