“If you would like to die stay here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 May 2008

My In-Laws booked the hotel, I didnt think twice to check what they had booked upon arrivial we discovered that the hotel was a dump. We checked in right after someone that was checking in to live in the hotel. When we got to our room of course we looked over our rooms. There were bullet holes in the walls, blood still on the wall. There were cigarette burn holel in both sets of sheets covers. The bathrooms rings in the shower/tub. rings or grime in the skink and toliet. There was a table and 2 chairs in the room which had dead bugs on them. I have to say under the bed was clean, probably the cleanest part. The capet were filthy the room the worst I have ever seen or stayed in thank got it was only for 2 nights So if you enjoy the drug dealing and gangster ville stay here, need a place to live stay here if you have kids, and are looking or a good place to stay, look else where!!!

“awful experence”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2007

this is the place to stay if your a drug addict or an alcoholic. we were told the room had been cleaned. it was nasty it didn't look like it had ever been cleaned.we were traveling with our kitten the first thing our kitten did was start sniffing around, then he went under the bed and came out with a pair of mens briefs, well i took them to the front desk and all the girl said was ewee and just droped them well if that wasn't bad enough my husband then found some kind of pills, then all of a sudden being curious like kittens can be our kitten had something in his mouth, we were devastated to find that it was a broken glass crack pipe. well to say the least thats all we could stand we packed up and came back home cutting our vacation short. so if your looking to stay at a nice motel i beg you DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!! no telling what you might find or encounter.

“Awful only would stay if it was free cause it wasn't worth paying for”

We checked in and the room didn't have any safety locks at all,had toilet paper in pephole, the wallpaper was peeling off,the tub had a ring around the top, snow flake designs covered a bullet hole in the sliding door, and foremost the sliding door leading outside could only be locked with a nail which was included. For the price it should have been alot nicer. We was going to have to stay two nights instead of staying there another night which was 5 minutes to UT campus we went 15 miles down the road to a cheaper but nicer hotel. Compare $58 dollars to $38 dollars and you would think the higher priced hotel would be better. Wrong!!

“Bring some bleach. And a weapon.”

After my loving girlfriend decided on this hotel after it's nice description and eye-pleasing pics, we were set for a nice Hotel stay for us and close friends. Pool, Bar, sounded great!

Then, reality kicked in.

We pulled into a parking lot that resembled a land-mine testing site. And half of the vehicles in the parking lot appeared to be victims of the explosions.

After walking into the lobby and talking to the girl behind the counter, (who was honestly very nice to us) she gave us the key to our room and sent us on our way. Walking down a hallway, stepping over old cigarette cartons and drink cups, eyeing the stained cinderblock walls, we found the door to our room. And then opened it.

The room, although massive, appeared to be the room that the hotel "forgot about". It didn't look like anyone had cleaned it in years. Honestly. The window was broken, the carpet was stained to the point that it almost looked like old flannel, the beds were broken and crooked... the bathroom would have been too gross for an uncensored HBO special, I think that the walls in the actual room were made from cardboard - I don't even know if the TV worked because we turned around immediately and asked for another room.

She understood, and gave us a key to a room upstairs. As we walked upstairs and through the hall, we were "greeted" by a man who burst out of his hotel room and looked a lot like a haggard BB King, fresh after a shot of "mace" directly to the eyes. After asking each one of us (there were 4 of us) if we had any cigarettes or anything to smoke, he let us go, but not before watching us take every last step into our 2nd room.

...Which, turned out a lot like our first room. Only smellier, and down the hall from someone who was now knocking on other hotel room doors asking for smokes. After a good 30 seconds of reviewing the room, listening to other patrons fight with each other, and witnessing what I think was a drug deal in the lobby, we decided to go back to the desk and leave.

The best thing about this was that the girl at the counter said "Yes, we get this reaction a lot." She gave us a full refund and let us on our way without any arguements at all. The guy next to her (who was wearing sweatpants and a football jerzy) didn't seem happy about it.

I would recommend visiting this place if you don't have any children to care for and want to shoot a documentary on the inner-workings of a drug ring.
