To be honest , I originally wrote a so so review. The manager was unaware of our problem and rectified the issue. The stay was as the website said it would be. Clean friendly and great location. We had our dog with us and that worked out real well for us. I would definatley go back to stay there and would highly recommend it to others. I can only say if you feel you have a problem speak to the manager as she is very understanding.

I can't believe some of the bad reviews here. The room was very clean, there was no bad smell and yes towels are provided! We stayed here for the Chicago Marathon. Leaving early in the morning, it was an easy 20 minute drive to downtown. Very enjoyable stay. The room was equipped with a comfortable recliner, desk, LCD TV and coffee maker. Having a kitchen also was very nice. The front desk staff was polite and professional. Paid $87 including tax through Priceline.com.

I recently stood at Extended Stay America - Midway. I was there for 4 nights on a weekend trip to catch two baseball games at Wrigley Field between the Cubs and the Mets (Cubs won Friday but the Mets won on Sunday). I'm a Mets fan that plans on visiting all 30 MLB ballparks. I already knew about the lack of amenities of this hotel before I arrived, allowing me to better equip myself for the trip. I brought my own body wash, shampoo, cologne (all in 3oz bottles), and even a bar of soap. I love how they have a stove, some pans, plates, and cups. The TV was a little old school and not too many channels, but me being a sports fan, I loved that they have all the ESPN networks, making this a good place for guys to stay on business or leisure. The air conditioner worked well, keeping me nice and cold.
ESA-Midway sits in the middle of the Ford City shopping area, leaving you within walking distance of Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Kohl's, Old Navy, an Applebee's, Office Depot, OfficeMax, and a short 5 minute ride from Wal-Mart. The bus ride to Midway airport is less than 10 minutes, bringing you right to the CTA's Orange Line which you can take to get to the Loop and Downtown Chicago. For the amount i spent ($48 a night through Hotwire), this was well worth the trip considering I didn't stay much in the hotel room.
Word of advice, make sure you stock up on some beverages before you completely settle in your first night. And maybe some snack cakes or something.

Had to stay an extra day in Chicago, saw the hotel a couple of blocks from other hotels and main intersections so traffic noise was a main concern, but this hotel was quiet, clean and closer to various restaurants i.e. Olive Garden Matson's etc. Highly reccomended if you want a nice quiet stay. Rooms were clean and very efficient. Wife loved the kitchen.
