I took one look at the room and turned around and left. The motel is OLD and dirty. I wouldn't walk on the carpet.

My Room was very clean and comfortable and the people at the front desk were so very sweet. The price was very reasonable and the pet fee was only $15.00. I ate at a nearby bar and grill that the clerk at the motel told me about called "THE 1313", and it was great. This is an adorable little historic town, with museums and lots of colorful little stores. Don't forget to stop by the "Oasis Bordello Museum", it was very interesting. I will stay at the Stardust Motel again on my way back to Seattle, WA. or if I am ever in that area. I highly recommend this motel for a comfortable stay.

In reading the other reviews here, I was nervous about booking a room at the Stardust, but after reading decent reviews elsewhere, I figured it was just the super-picky nature of many of the TripAdvisor participants that gave this motel many low marks.

We arrived in town just after 11am, the office was open, and the gal at check-in was pleasant and accommodating. We asked if there was a lower level room available, and she did some switching around to give us what we wanted.

The room hadn't been cleaned yet, so she called the maid, who happily moved from an upstairs room in the other building to our lower level room and cleaned it so we could get in early!

Next we noticed there was no refrigerator in the room, the maid said this was the only room without a fridge, and a guy doing maintenance in one of the other rooms said he'd just grab the fridge from that room and bring it to ours - again, above and beyond.

The "maintenance man" asked if there was anything else he could help us with, provided me with a map and tour book for Wallace, and then said he was the President of the Chamber of Commerce - Scott was extremely helpful, and really started our stay in town on a high note.

Our room was large and basic, the television was small and the carpeting old, but everything else was immaculate and in very good condition. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless!

We were in the older (original) section of the motel, there is also a newer wing, which I would assume is also well-maintained.

Although others have mentioned the office isn't staffed at all times, we found someone there in the middle of the afternoon, the evening, and even at 11pm. I think they keep it staffed during peak season.

The Stardust is no resort hotel, and won't win any beautiful architecture awards, but for a good night's sleep in a clean room, you can't go wrong.

Wallace itself is home to some of the nicest and most accommodating people we've ever met during our many travels. Every clerk and worker we talked to went out of their way to make our stay memorable and fun. I can't say enough nice things about this place!

This is a quaint little motel - you feel like you 're walking into a motel in the '50's or '60's upon appearance (and that is NOT meant in a bad way - just truthful.) Older, but very clean. Rates are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly. We happened upon the Stardust Motel on a trip through Wallace.
Our room DID have the following: microwave, fridge, coffeepot, tv and telephone. AND. . .we did have access to Wifi! (Didn't have a hairdryer and iron, but I'm sure if you asked the office, they could accomodate).
We would definitely stay here again!
