The Sun Valley Inn was bewildering to find at 3 am among a mess of similar buildings. But when I woke in the morning, I discovered just how unique and charming this historical inn is. The room was well appointed, the bed comfortable. There is an outdoor hot water swimming pool that was very near my room, and a small gym which was enough to keep me occupied in my free time. The area around the Inn includes upscale shops and a pizza restaurant (decent) and it's a short walk into Ketchum. It's an expensive place to stay, even at the conference rate, but well worth it.

Room #69 is a suite that possesses a number of amazing attributes. A suite large enough to offer a doorbell to enable your friends to alert you to their arrival at your room, the nicely appointed suite offers a separate living room and bedroom with a dark wood bathroom. However, the feature that really sets this room apart is the expansive, bavarian style balcony that looks out onto the beautiful grounds, walkways, sitting area, and pond adjacent to the Inn. In the summer, the Petunias in the balcony long flower boxes add their fragrance to the ambiance. If this room is available, it is worth getting.

Just having returned from another GREAT ski weekend I had to write about the Sun Valley Inn. I have stayed in many different hotels in Sun Valley, even the lodge and condos around the lodge. These rooms are the best bang for the buck when combined with the ski packages Sun Valley Resort has to offer. Very close to the heated outdoor pool and most of the resturants around the resort. What a blast to spend Thanksgiving with the family skiing, skating and partaking of the night life in the oldest ski town in America, but for $79.00 per adult and kids ski free WOW.

How fortunate I am to live in Idaho, only a few hours from Sun Valley Inn. When staying at the Sun Valley Resort, I've enjoyed every moment. No reason to leave, as everything you need is all within walking distance. There is a peacefulness about the environment. It's also fun! Much to do, much to see.
