The Valley Creek Motel is a superior accomodation in Stanley, ID. It offers traditional single room 'motel' furnishings, and the kitchenette was a pleasant surprise....as was the rear balcony overlooking a fly fishing area. Watch out for elk on the road! The front balcony view is of the Sawtooth Mountains. We would definitely stay here again, and often recall our experience there among our favorite surprises after decades of travel 'out West'.

This is a rustic style motel with RV accomodations situated right on the Salmon River at the base of the Sawtooth mountains. The rooms are immaculate and roomy, with reliable wireless internet. The "lodge" (it's a log building) is smokefree, but there are two porches available where it is comfortable to smoke. We would highly recommend this motel to everyone who passes through Stanley.
