Charming, nostalgic boutique hotel right in the middle of everything in downtown Sandpoint, and everything everyone else has stated (good & not so good) in previous reviews. It's all in what you want, what you are used to, and what expectations you have. I do not give out many 5-star ratings, but this place get one for all it is--and isn't. It is in a fabulous location. It is so well maintained inside. It is run by an owner and staff that are so genuinely nice, and so very helpful for any needs or local questions. It is right on a main street so there's traffic noise (didn't bother us...expected it). It isn't too quiet, so you might hear folks in other suites (it's a beautiful, historic old building, whaddya expect?...didn't bother us). It isn't a cookie-cutter, sterile, antiseptic big chain hotel structure (we loved that). It isn't the greatest parking situation (what do you need your car for, everything's in walking distance?). I could go on and on...
We are not wealthy people. And in that regard, this little gem offered us an absolutely affordable opportunity to feel a little "big time" in our lives. It was a perfect weekend getaway for a Mom and Dad who work hard and take care of a big family. We felt so special here. A wonderul place, and I can wholeheartedly say we will enjoy ourselves here again. Thank you Inn at Sand Creek...
