“Great price, location and comfortable bed”

We were passing through and decided to stay the nite and called. Very nice on the phone and welcoming when we arrived. The room was nice size and the bed was so comfortable. Some noise from the highway but turned on the AC and no more road noise. We would definitely stay again and come prepared to cook on the outdoor grills. Great motel for the price.

We had a wonderful experience at the Meandering Moose and would stay (and will again) in a heartbeat. We arrived on the late train (3 a.m.) and when we got to the motel the owner was cheerfully waiting for us to check in. Another guest wanted the room we had reserved, so he switched us to a 2-bed room at no extra cost. He also gave us the previous and next day's newspaper and had our room warmed up for us, as promised. The room was super-clean and the bed was very comfortable. Some people may have a problem with the noise from the highway that runs in front of the motel, but a pair of earplugs solved that problem nicely. We highly recommend!

“Disappointing”

Cannot recommend, Stayed here several weeks ago and was very disappointed after reading reviews from other sites. The lodge is advertised as 'updated' yet our room had appeared to be vintage 60's or 70's and was not very clean. Also note - there was baseboard heat in our rooms and when we arrived the heat had not been turned on so the rooms were very cold. Look elsewhere.
