Wasn't expecting much in Salmon. But found this to be clean and comfortable. They provided a basic cold breakfast: fruit, rolls, drinks and cereal. Wi-Fi, cable and A/C all worked well, Felt like a Motel 8 rather than a locally owned motel. There is a solid slope up to the front door for check-in, but the side entrace is level and easy to get in and out.

“Salmon River Motel Stinks like an old salmon”

We were here over the fourth of July and I can't begin to tell you what a rathole of a place this is. They screwed up reservations, our fire alarm went off in the middle of the night- the nice enough night auditor came and yanked it out of the wall. We didn't have a fire alarm in our room for the next day and a half. We tried repeatedly to contact the manager who was on vacation that weekend (what kind of hotel manager takes a vacation over the 4th of July????) We got charged the full rate for the room (I guess a good night's sleep isn't part of the deal) Want a good vacation? Stay ANY place else. Any Place. This is a sure fire way to ruin vacation.

“No frills, but clean.”

Motel at this address is now the Salmon River Motel. Very basic with absolutely no extras. Overpriced compared with other hotels in Salmon, but needed a room at the last minute and the others were booked. It is clean and in good repair. Was fine for an overnight stay.
