I have really just discovered Trip Advisor and was very upset to see that Twin Peaks Ranch has yet to be reviewed! This place is truly amazing! We stumbled across Twin Peaks via LOTS of internet research, and we loved every minute of our 7 night stay. In short, the activities were fun and exciting and the FOOD WAS GREAT! Although we were busy all 7 days, we still left completely relaxed because everything was so perfectly planned out for us. Right down to hot chocolate being served while we were white-water rafting!
Most ranches have an additional charge for airport pick-up/drop-off. Twin Peaks sent a van to meet us in Missoula, free of charge (In addition, one of the other couples staying that week had a flight out of Idaho Falls at 7 am, and the folks at the Ranch gladly took them to the airport at 3:30 in the morning!!!) It was a scenic 3 hour drive up to the Ranch.
Our accomodations were nice and comfortable....we even had a jacuzzi tub. The activities at the ranch were many, but we followed a pre-set schedule which was perfect. The staff of the ranch was incredible. Friendly, warm, hospitable, and there to make sure everyone was happy all the time. Mike & Laurie are the operators, and they went to every effort to make you feel at home. We received a Christmas card from them, and they mailed us pictures they had taken throughout the week.
Another perk of Twin Peaks Ranch is that all the activities are included in the price. It seemed that most other ranches charged for activities such as White-water rafting, river floats, etc, but it was included in the price of our trip. We also had an overnight camping trip that was SO much fun. When we arrived, our tents were set up, we slept on 5 inch thick foam mattresses, enjoyed t-bone steaks and peach cobbler for dinner.....we also awoke to eggs, bacon, biscuits, coffee, and a nice campfire. We spent time skeet-shooting, lots of horseback opportunities, rafting, etc.
Overall, I would recommend Twin Peaks to families, couples, friends or anyone looking to have a good time. We had a British couple who was honeymooning, and a Mom & daughter from Germany who were enjoying their 2nd trip to the ranch in as many years. Plus, throughout the week, different groups stopped in for a few days at a time.
If you are looking for a great ranch vacation, I would definitely recommend Twin Peaks. Although I don't like traveling to the same place twice, I would definitely do this again.
