i stayed here with my family last summer and upon seeing this was the highest rated hotel in post falls may have set my standards a little too high. we booked it as a package that included tickets to the only reason this hotel probably sees guests (silverwood theme park), which we later found out did not offer any kind of discount just the ticket prices on top of the BAR rate for a room. very misleading.
this hotel has a pool which gets a lot of use from the high volume of children it sees during its peak season. unfortunately this causes the entire building to smell of chlorine and all of the hallway carpets to be constantly damp.
the blonde front desk gentleman was professional but very unwilling to assist in looking up destinations or phone numbers. having him research the hours of local businesses was comparable to pulling teeth. i would have used thier business center but it consisted of one computer in the lobby that was constantly occupied by teenagers & children playing games or mindlessly surfing.
the room itself was very dated and small. the bathroom shower was tiny and the shower head wasn't fully attached to the pipe. we had an inspiring view of a storage facility out of our one little window. the room was very clean and the housekeepers did a great job and responded in a very timely manner when we requested additional towels. all appliances in the room were in fine working order as well.
they do offer a complimentary continental breakfast but it consists of cold cereal, stale bagels and some fruit. the whole family decided to skip it both days. i understand this hotel does most of its business in the summer months with families looking for an affordable place to stay, but i really think with what they charge they could at least offer stellar customer service. call me a dreamer.
