We have stayed at The River Cove many times and continue to return. It is a beautiful B&B!

Two couples stayed two nights at this gorgeous B & B overlooking the Spokane River. We were in the two daylight basement rooms (only rooms on this level) with connecting, large sitting room with sofas, table, etc. microwave, refrigerator/freezer and coffee/tea service--with beautiful view of river and landscaping. Only other accomodation is one suite on main level, next to dining area. Home is located in upscale quiet neighborhood next to large wooded park along the river with easy walking trails. Breakfast and service were excellent! Host supplied coupons and directions to nearby restaurants and attractions. Hot tub also overlooks river cove. Very quiet and peaceful!

From the moment that we arrived until the moment that we left, Eric the host and owner was very attentive to us and made sure that we were very comfortable and happy. He served excellent breakfasts each morning even on our last day when we had an early departure to get to the airport in Spokane. The stuffed Blueberry French Toast was to die for! He even took us out on his 28 ft. cruiser boat and served wine and snacks as we cruised along. The location of the B&B is on a little cove of the Spokane River which leads into Couer d'Alene Lake and the lovely lively town of Couer d'Alene which has many tourist attractions. We had great food at the Couer d'Alene Brewing Co. and the Beach House. You should also atleast go to see the Couer d'Alene Resort and Golf Course with it's floating green. This place is highly reccomended by us!

THE GOOD-We stayed for three nights at this northern Idaho property, beautifully situated on the Spokane River. The breakfasts were stellar; the meal recommendations were right on the mark; the spa was lovely; the beds comfy. THE BAD-The innkeeper was intrusive, joining our table at breakfast, and entering our conversations. He several times came into our private sitting room without knocking or announcing himself. Almost immediately after arrival, he requested charge cards and processed them. (In all my previous B&B stays this procedure has occurred at departure.) THE UGLY-Five hours after departure ( we were about 250 miles away) the innkeeper called and asked if we had mistakenly taken 2 mugs. I told him we had not, and then he asked twice more, in other ways--were they in our suitcase? The back of our car? "NO." Well, then did we think that our friends took them. I was dumbfounded. Our friends concur...you can do better than River Cove.
