The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was quiet and easy to get to and there were several good restaurants close by. The evening cookies and continental breakfast were a nice surprise. This was nothing fancy but good value for the money.

Chose to stay here for two reasons - price and the fact that they allowed dogs. Location was great - directly across the street from Idaho State University which is extremely dog friendly. Spent time walking around the campus during the evening of our check in and the morning of our check out. Dogs loved watching the squirrels run up the trees. Now to the hotel - obviously old. Price was reasonable but room smelled and the bed was the worse that I've slept in for yearl..... No joke - my feet were higher than my head. The bed had been pounded so much over the years that I would have slept better on the back seat of my truck. I figured the clerk knew the condition of the hotel because he didn't even ask how stay was when I checked out in the AM. Next time we're in Pokie, we'll pay more and stay in one of the other hotels that allow dogs.

We stayed in this hotel during two trips from the Pacific NW to Arizona via Pocatello. We chose it because it was easy to get to off the freeway and the price was right (under $60 for two adults in a queen nonsmoking room). The first time through, in April 2010, we had no complaints and had dinner at the next-door Elmer's restaurant. Breakfast at the Rodeway is free and consists of waffles you make in their waffle iron, cold cereal, milk, OJ, and bagels. Our second time through, in August 2010, our toilet started flooding immediately, and we had to walk over soggy carpet to move our belongings out and to the next room. We noted damage to the carpeted baseboards, but otherwise the rooms were decent. My recommendation is qualified: It was a typical motel-style, $55 room. Don't expect too much. But we felt safe, and the front desk staff were very welcoming and nice.

Free high Speed internet access....if you are lucky enough to pick up the signal from the pancake house next door. The internet provided by the motel drops out about every 30 seconds, just after it connects. the staff was friendly, and tried to accommodate me by moving me to another room to try to get a better signal, but more of the same.
