“Okay for just passing through, bummer on the staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2011

Was passing through on March 4, 2011 on business. The front desk lady clearly did not want to be there, was possibly one of the housekeeping staff who had to hold over on a Friday night. Breakfast buffet is some instant oatmeal and stale muffins. Right next door is a family style restaurant called AJs. Good for a pass through. Need to look a their staff attitudes when I was there. Just going through themotions.

“Not the best value in Mountain Home for your money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2011

The location of the hotel is nice right off I-84 and within walking distance to several restaurants. The staff was nice and accommodating. They have a pet policy that you must be in the room with the pets (or have them out of the room) while housekeeping is there) and my husband called and asked if they could come and clean early so he could leave and they graciously accommodated him.

This hotel was old and dingy with a stale cigarette smoke throughout. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the room is tiny. The refrigerator is incredibly small also. The worst feature, in my opinion, was that there was no exercise room or laundry on site and we had to walk or drive to the Best Western to use their facilities (they have an agreement that Sleep Inn guests can use them). I didn't like that since I work out at 6 AM and it was freezing in Mountain Home at that time. The value for your money is not very good. Other hotels do not cost much more and are much nicer. I stayed at a hotel in Boise the same time period for $7 more a night and had a suite and a nice continental breakfast in the morning.

“Comfortable and Reasonable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2011

This motel is right off the freeway with restaurants within walking distance. The price was reasonable and the rooms were comfortable and clean. My only complaint is that there was only one chair and one of us had to sit in bed to watch TV. The continental breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was spacious. We have stayed here before and the quality is consistent.

“Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

Small rooms, but clean and quiet. Fine for one night stop over.

“Nice Pet-friendly Motel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2010

My husband, dog, and I stopped over in Mountain Home on our way to Oregon from Colorado. The motel more than met our needs--the hot shower (with little shampoos and conditioners, too!) and clean, comfy bed were welcome sights after being on the road 12 hours. The staff were friendly, and the complimentary breakfast exceeded our (relatively low) expectations.
