This place was by far the worst place I stayed at while on holiday in the US. I am not picky when it comes to accommodation, in fact, I can put up with A LOT. I usually go for budget accommodation, as I like to my dollars stretch. It was fairly cheap, about $40 USD a night. However, a dirty room goes beyond the limits of what I can tolerate. The room was so dusty, I was sneezing every few minutes. There was also a large dark stain on the carpet, I began to wonder whether my room had previously been a crime scene. Given the overall feel of the place, I wouldn't have been too surprised. The continental breakfast was bad even by budget hotel standards. The econolodge supposedly had free wifi but I was unable to get a decent signal from my room, which was seriously annoying. There was also the constant stench of the pulp mill, which I suppose is more Lewiston's fault than econolodge. I wish I had driven the few extra kilometers to Moscow.
