“Beautiful and exceptional service”

My wife and I stayed here for a mini-honeymoon in November 2011. From the moment we showed up until the moment we left the stay was nearly perfect. The building is beautiful and well-kept, impressive in that the staffing is clearly minimal. The room, Victorian Suite, was neat when we came in, and it's particular setting was just what was needed for a romantic getaway. Comfortable bed, jacuzzi, and fireplace combined to make the room very nice. Above all, however, the service given by the owner was second-to-none. We were running late - he called us to make sure we were still coming; other lodgings would have cancelled us without bothering to check. He and his staff cooked breakfast every morning, to include a morning when the only guests were my wife and I. He was pleasant and down to earth, a very personable man and a fellow former Army officer. My wife and I have a lot of experience traveling both in Idaho, the U.S., and a few countries, and I can say without a doubt this is in the top 2 or 3 of places I have ever stayed. The only thing to be desired is location. I wish we would have been in walking distance of the hot pools. This was a very minor inconvenience, however. If you have the luck to stay in a very beautiful and relatively unknown corner of Idaho, definitely choose this B&B. And check out the Phantom of the Opera room - quite fun!

“What a weekend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

Our first time to a bed and breakfast was such a wonderful experience, it definitely wont be our last! We went to the Lions Gate Manor to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we were so pampered, we didn't want to leave! We stayed in the Phantom of the Opera room and the attention to detail was so amazing, they didn't miss a thing! The breakfast was absolutely the best! The hospitality was top notch! We will definitely be going back... and soon!! Thank you for a wonderful anniversary!

Room Tip: This location offers themed rooms, the Phantom of the Opera room offers a jetted tub, a spiral stair...

The best breakfast ever. All the rooms are lovely and interesting and ours was very clean and well decorated. I can't wait to stay there again and try all the rooms. You will not be disappointed.

I stayed at the Lions Gate Manor last weekend with my teenage daughter. We rented the Phantom's Lair, which is based on the Phantom of the Opera. My daughter is a huge fan and was thrilled with the room. The family welcomed us into their "home" as honored guests. The whole place is incredibly clean and well maintained. The carved wood furnishing are absolutely beautiful and I honestly did not see a speck of dust anywhere. We were taken on a tour of most of the rooms (we arrived fairly early in the evening so the other guests had not checked in yet), and all of them were beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our room was very large and decorated with great care by someone who obviously knows and loves the story of Phantom. There were many fun surprises that will not tell here, but it was like being immersed in the story. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed the family-style experience of eating around the table with other guests. If you can't tell already, we absolutely loved our experience at this B&B and would Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a wonderful, relaxing, get-away or to celebrate a special occasion. John (who lives there) was beyond nice too, even cleaning the snow off of our vehicles in the morning. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this experience and will definitely stay at this B&B again.
