This hotel was great for the price. Sun Valley is an older place, so the less expensive resorts are often kinda run down. This place showed its age, but I had no qualms with it and would definetly stay again. The hot tub was great after a long day hitting the slopes.

The Clarion Inn of Sun Valley Is exactly what I needed! The staff was Amazing Nicky the GM worked hard to make sure that I was taken care of making me feel like I was part of the family. I glanced at the reviews about this hotel and they are way out of line making the opinion of Sun Valley true once again that snobs are imported. I never had an issue at the hotel and the price was more then perfect. Stay and eat the amazing food in the hotels onsite restaurant! I will be sure to come back again!!! Nicky you were my favorite part! (and to the person who said she was rude maybe your better of staying home sounds like you can’t manage in the real world!)

This is a very tired and worn out property. Carpeting is dirty (we actually found pretzels and pieces of cereal under the table which had not been vacumned up). I would not go barefoot in this place. They advertised a complimentary continental breakfast....no such thing. They did offer coffee in the lobby. When I asked about the breakfast, the front desk staff just said, "no, we don't have that". Our coffee pot in the room overflowed (apparently the previous guest had not used all the water in the coffee maker reservoir and the housecleaning staff doesn't check this type of thing). The shower was very moldy and the shower curtain didn't even extend the entire length of the tub. The nitestand table between the bed was falling apart. And to top everything off, we could hear the guest in the next room snore all night. This is a very dirty hotel, something I would not have expected from a Choice Hotel. It appears the local management really doesn't care, and judging from some of the other reviews I have read here, this has been going on for quite some time. The only good thing going for this place is its location....great location to all things in town. Sadly, it is a dump.

we loved the downtown location and the manager went over and above to make our stay.
we will be back next year
