The rooms are fine in the summer if it's not too hot outside, as there's no AC. Bed was comfy, place was neat and tidy. The owner is very watchful of everything guests do here--overly so. A bit OCD. Coffee is not even prepared till 9am, and I had to be gone by then, plus there's none in the rooms. Also, no hairdryer.

First, I would like to thank Betty for the lovely room with the refrigerator. You area kick-in-the-pants. We enjoyed our stay and your company. We hope to come by again soon!

A really nice, cozy place with a beautiful view on Bald Mountain- a great start for hiking. Don't hesitate asking the lively owner for advice: she'll be happy to tell you what (not) to do, where (not) to go, together with funny anecdotes about the area.
Rooms are big, clean (and this review is written by Swiss tourists, so this means something) and comfortable for a very reasonable price. It's a 5-minutes drive to the city centre. We really enjoyed our stay there!

My friend and I were exhausted after a week long bike/camping trip in Idaho. Our very first stop was at the Lift Tower Lodge. We met Bob the caretaker of the place. He was so warm and friendly. We stayed in a spacious room with a killer view of Bald Mountain out our window. The next day we met his wife Betty, who was charming, funny and warm. In a town full of overpriced condos, the Lift Tower Lodge was a welcome discovery. Thank you Bob and Betty!
