First, the pros: an indoor pool, hot tub, and a good breakfast. We picked this hotel based on those criteria. Lots of pillows, and a strong shower, too.

Cons: The first morning, no hot water when it was time for our showers. The front desk mentioned a problem resetting the hot water heater. I heard lots of grumbles during the breakfast about other guests' showering experiences. After we ate, I tried the water again, and it was hot, so I got a quick shower after all. However, my poor husband did not because we had to get going.

Also, we were looking forward to the freshly-baked cookies when we returned that evening at 8 pm (as written in the guest guide "cookies every evening at 8") but no cookies were there. The explanation:"not enough guests so I didn't make any." Bummer!

This hotel is quite hard to find and is close to the interstate. It is average as far as rooms go, but our room suffered from noisy pipes in the wall from the rooms above. It sounded like somebody knocking on your door and continued most of the night. My main beef is with the extra taxes which added about $4 to the room charge - there was an "auditorium tax" and a charge for a room safe which was not used. These charges were not shown on my confirmation.Also do not expect to have a quiet breakfast as the lady at the front desk walks around the breakfast area with a phone glued to her ear, talking constantly in a loud voice to all her friends. I was fed up hearing about her husband driving his truck to Boise and Great Falls!

If you need a place to stay for a night and aren't too fussy this is a great place to stop. Good value for your dollar. Good breakfast and helpful staff. But that being said there were a few things that set it aside for higher end hotels. the Wi-fi was very slow and at times not there. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke on the lower floor. This property is in bad need of a update. And to top it off the hotel taxes in Idaho are very high.

Arrived and was pleasantly surprised considering it was next to the highway. The sound walls made it as though there was no highway there. The staff was very friendly and the rooms nice. And the breakfast was great including saugages and eggs. Will probably stay here on our next visit to Idaho Falls. Overall, a nice stay.
