After nine days of road tripping and a disappointing night spent at the Aero Inn in Kalispell, we were nervous about what we would find at the Japan House Suites. Not to worry. From the moment we walked into the office, we relaxed. The owner was courteous, friendly, and warm. We got to select our breakfast from a choice of three healthy meal options. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were covered with clean white puffy quilts and SO comfortable. The hotel itself was located far enough from downtown to not be part of the waterfront craziness, but close enough (about 1.5 miles) that we were able to walk to the beach in the evening.

Between the four of us we tried all three breakfasts (including a steak-and-eggs option!), and agreed that our respective choices were delicious. Great place, very good value.

This hotel was great. We booked it based on the reviews and "clean" was an understatement. Kim and Mimi were super friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

We knew from Trip Advisor what to expect. The location is a little over a mile from the heart of downtown where most of the culture and victuals are located. But, in addition to the clean room and helpful staff, we also had the best breakfast on our trip to the Northwest. We stayed in other locations that were more expensive and the bed did not compare to Japan House for comfort. We would stay again.

Immaculate rooms. Nothing fancy but clean as can be with a great breakfast. I can't wait to come back. Holiday inn express is my favorite chain and Japan suites is my new favorite independently owned place.
