This hotel is wonderful! And a great price! The staff is so friendly and helpful! The room is clean and actually quite large. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the extra bonus was that there was a light dinner also included on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! We thoroughly enjoyed out stay and will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Thanks for making our stay a great one! If you are going to Coeur d' laine make sure you check out the cruise on the lake, at Christmas time its absolutely beautiful!

This is our second stay at this hotel…we came back because of the amazing first stay, and it was just as great the second time around! First, the customer service is incredible. Every hotel employee has been friendly, warm, welcoming and engaging. They are extremely accommodating. The rooms are very nice, beds super comfy, amenities and spaciousness are great (we stayed in a suite room). The best part of the hotel space though is the lobby and dining area, which are very inviting and comfortable. You can sit by the fireplace and play scrabble, or sit in the breakfast area and watch the news, or even better, enjoy the fire pit outside while looking at the gorgeous mountains. They have milk and cookies every evening ready for us as you return from a days sightseeing and a very assorted breakfast buffet in the morning. I love the outside appearance of this hotel as well with the waterfall and fire bowls, and very rustic look. Coffee available all the time, free local newspapers, free wifi and HBO are a few perks. Lastly, who can forget Dodger! The hotel mascot, an amazing canine who follows you around (if you give him some lovin!) and hangs out by the front desk greeting the guests. Sometimes he just lays by the fireplace, I mean, who wouldn't if they were a dog! This HI Express is close to everything, right off the main freeway, and within walking distance to coffee, movies, dining and shopping. It is our only choice when staying in Coeur d Alene!

On shorter overnight driving trips, I've begun to book Holiday Inn Express & Suites for my family as our default brand, because of their consistency and recent renovations. The Coeur D'Alene property is by far the best one we've stayed at. Upon arriving, the lobby has a very welcoming, high-end feel, complete with a resident hotel dog (a beautiful weimaraner) and an extremely warm and helpful staff. The location is excellent, within walking distance of theaters and a nice outdoor shopping environment, and a short drive to Coeur D'Alene's very charming downtown area (the wood-fired pizza and excellent beer and wine list at Fire is not to be missed). The rooms at this property are starting to show just a little wear, but still clean and comfortable. And of course, the surrounding beauty of Lake Coeur D'Alene makes this a really great little stop along the way or a destination of its own.

I just had my wedding in Coeur d’Alene and we chose the Holiday Inn Express as our “base camp” mostly based off of Trip Advisor reviews. Let me just say, we were not disappointed. From the first moment we began working with these people, they were friendly and accommodating. I knew that my guests (and my new in-laws) were well cared for and being treated with quality service. The group package that they worked out for us made it an affordable place to stay as well, and the meals were just superb. I would highly recommend this establishment for any occasion, but especially for hosting large family gatherings (like weddings!). One comment/concern: the hotel has a dog named Roger who is a dear soul but wound up scaring my poor 2-year-old niece half to death one morning.
I can't recommend this hotel and its staff highly enough.
