Just goes to show how different an event as seemingly straightforward as staying in a motel for a night can be, as it wasn't until after we had stayed here that I manged to look at reviews.
We found the Motel to be most satisfactory, large clean rooms, friendly staff, easy walk to downtown.
This is called Budget Saver Motel and so trim your expectations to be inline with the very reasonable price here.
No wireless internet as yet.

It was hard to check in and even harder to check out. Even though we gave them a credit card they wanted a fifty dollar deposit, which we could not get back until the office opened when we were ready to leave (very inconvienent because we are early morning travelers). The towels were horribly stained and there were old blood stains on the pillow cases. We ran out of toilet paper, which was never replaced when they cleaned our room nor were our sheets changed. Our air conditioner quit working. The maintence man said it would be fixed that day, but it never was.

The staff seems to forget they are in the hospitality business and are not hospitable. We were not treated like guest, but low life. We were going to be in town for four days so we rented a weekly room. That must have been our mistake. If they are going for repeat business, they will never make it. We come visit often as we have two sons who live there, but will find other lodging arrangements.

Positive note: The room was clean and nicely remodled.

Today I was walking my dog past this hotel and the manager's pit bull jumped on my retriever mix. I was able to get the pit bull away, but the manager was very rude about my dog being attacked. Thankfully my dog is large, but a smaller one would have been overcome immediately. I live in Coeur d'Alene and didn't actually stay there, but wanted to make everyone aware of the danger that exists. I will tell anyone and everyone to boycott this horrible, horrible motel.

We stayed on a Sunday nite after playing golf and decided not to drive back to Spokane. We've stayed there once before..not great but ok and clean for the price.
They have a scam going on. We got checked into a room. There was a hole in the door (almost like a bullet hole) .we noticed it immediately but didn't think too much about it...had a rest...went out for dinner..came back and were sleeping by 9:00 p.m.!! Forgot about reporting the damage to the door. (Actually thought they MUST know about this damage).So we got notification a week or so later charging $ 100 to our credit card to cover the damage to the door!! Phoned...explained...the rudest people I have ever dealt with...the hotel was basically empty but they said that someone had complained about our all nite noisy party!

This is a total scam...I think they check people in and if they report the door...great...if they don't GOTCHA!...we are honest and responsible (older) people. BEWARE of this hotel and it's horrible management.
