Booked on Priceline , so maybe they keep a couple "special" rooms for cheapskates .. Two full size beds! I didn't think they even sold full size beds anymore!! Toilet flushed fine , when nothing was in it! When actually using it , took at least three flushes! Breakfast was alright , but uninspired - TV was great , and wifi worked fine ..

The family and I traveled to Coeur d'Alene for the Thanksgiving holiday and stayed at the Best Western Plus. We had two adjoining rooms, each with two double beds. Our rooms looked out into the court yard and to the enclosed swimming pool and hot tub. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed the free breakfast buffet every day. The breakfasts were top notch, nothing instant and the serving staff were polite and very attentive.

There were two huge pluses to our stay. #1 was that they allowed pets and had a designated area away from the rest of the hotel for walking and allowing the dog to do her business.

#2 is that I had the best rest, to date, of any hotel I've ever stayed in. The beds had thick pillow tops and warm bedding.

There were a number of large groups staying at the hotel during the same time period, due to a local basketball tournament. Even with a high occupancy, we enjoyed a quiet atmosphere and were able to relax when in our rooms.

The rooms were not overly decorated, but did have excellent flat screen televisions and a mini fridge. There was always plenty of hot water and the price didn't put me in the poor house.

The hot tub was very warm, so I would hesitate to let very young children go in unsupervised, but honestly, this is the only concern I had during our excellent trip and stay with the Coeur d'Alene Best Western Plus. We WILL be choosing them for future visits!

This hotel was like the title said, exactly what we were looking for. The details:

Location - great location...the lake and downtown only minutes south, the shopping only minutes north and Spokane only tens of minutes west.

Hotel Amenities - we didn't try the bar, business area or fitness room but did partake in the free hot buffet breakfast every morning which was a great way to start the day...and economical as well. The pool was a bit of a walk to get to but was fun and not too busy. The hot tub was relaxing.

Staff - super friendly. We asked for a good sushi restaurant and not only did the front desk help us but the girl at the restaurant counter overheard and came over to offer a suggestion. We followed their advice and were not disappointed.

Room - the bed was soft and the room had a fridge and microwave, great for leftover food and quick snacks. It was average in size, which was good enough for us.

Pros - location, friendly staff, breakfast buffet
Cons - pool location

My travels had me in the area very frequently and this hotel had a great centralized location that allowed me to conduct my business with great ease.

The amenities are adequate and the beds are comfortable.

The on-site restaurant (Mulligan's) is very convenient and has pretty good food. (The build your appetizer menu item is great, especially the garlic wings and the ribs) The bar and restaurant staff are very helpful and friendly.

There is no elevator but we all need to do our stairs for the day.
