“Clean, friendly, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2010

We had lovely stay at the La Quinta Caldwell. Probably one of the best La Quinta's I've seen for pets, they loved the play area. The room was clean and well appointed, we took advantage of the free wifi and the minifridge. The clerk was very friendly and helpful at check in, I'd made a major mistake on our reservation but she had no problem fixing us up with what we needed. Their pool was open 24 hours, which is really cool! Good location for the interstate traveler, far away from Boise (obviously.) There wasn't much in the area late night for eats.

Great location right off the interstate. Very friendly hotel staff that was accomadating by already having a room ready for me that was close to an exit to take my dog in and out. Nice grassy area especially for pets and even got a welcoming gift pack including treats. Great deal.

“Clean, Quiet, Nice Beds”

We came to Caldwell for a family funeral and stayed for four days. Staff was friendly and our room was clean. Best part was that the room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. (My wife loves pillow-top beds.) I had free wireless internet which worked great for emails and internet. Complimentary breakfast does not run past 9 am, so get up before then.

“Nice Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2008

I was moving across country and needed a place to sleep for the night, so nothing fancy was needed. The hotel was actually better than I had expected. The staff was friendly, the grounds were simple but clean, and the room was clean and updated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was very convenient to a nice little family sit down restaurant across the parking lot. The hotel was also very accomodating of my cats that I was traveling with. They do not charge extra for pets and there is even a little outdoor doggy spot for guests. The free breakfast was nice and had lots of variety. The price was very competitive for the area and was right off the highway so it was perfect for what I need. I would recommend this hotel.

“Pleasant surprise for the price - great pool for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2007

We stayed at this hotel as a stopover between Vancouver, WA and Salt Lake City, UT - it is right off of I-84. I booked the room on-line for $59 as part of La Quinta weekend special. The outside of the hotel was a little concerning, as it appeared the paint job was half finished and then abandoned. However, the inside was nice and there is a LARGE area for the pool, considering the size of the motel. The main pool is decent size and nicely heated, and there is an adjoining kiddie pool (also nicely heated). There is also a large hot tub. They provided numerous beach balls - it was a real treat for our kids!

The room was adequate, about what would be expected for this type of property. It did have a microwave and fridge, which was somewhat unexpected. It appears the bathrooms were updated in the recent past. They provide free wireless internet, of which we had marginal success. The free breakfast was on par, with a few extras. Overall, an excellent deal for $59 - a definite recommendation.

Also, we had to cancel our return trip reservation and were not able to make the call until after the 6pm cancellation time. They were very understanding and cancelled it without assessing us a penalty (I did call the motel directly).

  • Liked — The pool
  • Disliked — The marginal internet access
