“It was awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2009

This hotel is my favorite. I had 3 rooms and 7 people. They have everything! There was a free contenental breakfast, 24 hour apple and orange juice and coffee, free high speed wireless internet, elevator, restaurants, and an amazing deal. I got one room for $40. It was clean, quiet, cozy, and if you went somewhere else you would be paying about $90 for all of this. I got a good deal because of the new opening. They were called the Econo Lodge but now its the Vista Inn. The owner said he wasn't going to raise the prices until June. He said theyre going to be only $4 - $6 more. I'm definetly coming back.

The Econo Lodge is a nice place to stay. The rates are reasonable. The front desk friendly. The rooms where clean. I would definatly stay here again. I also was told by the front desk that at the first of 09 they will be Vista hotel.

“Watch out for the 1$ rip off”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 June 2004

This is a typical Econo Lodge. It is basically clean, but the place is thread bare. The elevator has a tiny door -- hard to get in and out. Our room door had obscenities carved in it -- a nice touch. The room itself was ok -- but marginally worth the 50$ price. The absolute worst is the rip off of $1 that they charge on check in for a safe: they tell you that if you do not use the safe, you get the 1$ back on check out. Well, on check out, the clerk gave us such a hard time, claiming that we did not pay the safe fee, and telling us this is for our security. Finally he did give us the $1.06 back (the safe fee plus tax), but then he would not say a further word -- knowing that he had some cheap-skates on his hands. The truth is that Econo Lodge makes a mint off this fee. The statement that this is a convenience for those who want it is no different from the TV or the toilet -- why don't they charge for those items? I have had repeated problems with Econo Lodge and Days Inn in collecting the 1$ rip off -- and I think this is the last time I am going to bother. By the way, how do they get off charging state tax for this 'service'?

There is a persistent aroma of sea food from the Japanese restaurant next door.

“Good budget lodging”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2002

Great for the price. Rooms are spacious and clean. Close to the highway but not noisy. No lobby to speak of and few extras, but solid with the basics. For a clean bed and a warm shower at a low price, you'd be hard pressed to do better.
