“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2009

We have stayed twice. Both before and after flights. Rooms were both wonderful, large, clean and quiet. They allowed us to leave our car there for two weeks at no additional charge.

We are staying again in August and again leaving our car. The rates are good, the staff does an excellent job, it is clean, the pool is nice, the breakfast was sure enough for us. It is close to many restaurants and they have us good recommendations and directions. The mall is close.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2008

I stayed here for one night while in town for business. Everything about this hotel was convenient and friendly-from when I first made the reservation to when we checked out. The staff was warm and friendly and went out of their way to give us dinner recommendations, the location was close to getting on the freeway to head downtown, as well as 5 minutes away from the mall. The rooms were MUCH larger than your standard hotel room, they had a nice breakfast, and the pool area was pretty. I can't say enough good things about my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone...and I will definately stay there again!

“Sorry, my experience wasn't close to as positive as many others...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2008

I don't mean to rain on any parades, but I must say I was incredibly disappointed by my stay at this hotel... while the front desk person was friendly, almost every single detail from the floor on up to the ceiling of this place felt dated and unimpressive. In addition, there was an incredible amount of traffic noise. While my room was on the main floor, it doesn't appear that they did much, if anything, to soundproof it. The furnishings were worn looking and dated and faded and things did not seem to be well thought out at all...even the extra table/desk in the room had no lamp or light overhead, rendering it pretty useless. There were faded little "grandma-type" shams on the bed that likely had seen their finest hour about 6 years ago easily. The bathroom was basic, basic motel with limited amenities, and I was extremely put off by the small black bugs that were parading around on the counter next to the sink in the morning. The coffee maker is stashed high on a shelf above the closet's hanging area, making it very awkward to get it down without dropping it or all of the loose items in the caddy. In addition, even the Bigelow herbal tea package had one of the teabags already removed, so it doesn't seem that housekeeping even checks things very thoroughly. The breakfast (limited Continental with just a waflle maker for a hot item) is in the pool area... very humid and dated looking, as well. The best thing about the property was the lovely view out the back window from that pool area--but as I was extremely tired having been awakened early by the traffic noise directly outside the room--it wasn't conducive to lingering. There are many other options nearby that are cleaner and less depressing.. even the hotel's logo looks homemade and dated. Sorry, but it just was not a good experience at all.

“Great Staff, Quiet Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2008

My family and I stayed at the Harrison Plaza Suite Hotel for four nights. The best thing about our stay was the staff. Everyone was so genuinely friendly, especially the front desk gentleman (whom I wish I would have gotten his name to give kudos to!!!) The room service ladies were very sweet and respectful, which I really appreciated. We used the pool twice while there, and it was very nice. They provide floats, beach balls, and pool "noodles", which I thought was unique (I've never seen another hotel offer these), so our daughter had a lot of fun. The room, pool, and other areas of the hotel was neat and clean. If I had to pinpoint one thing I didn't like, it would be the ceilings (I know that sounds odd, but hear me out). Our room ceiling was the kind you find in offices everywhere - white rectangle removable panels that all you have to do is push up on one of them and you have access to the crawl space (wires and whatever else is up there). We figured the building used to be a large office and that they hadn't changed the ceilings (or gotten to them yet). Not THAT big of a deal for us, but if you had valuables, medications, cash, etc., it would be a little un-nerving and you may not feel all that comfortable leaving them in the room while you're away. But that's it though, everything and everyone at the Harrison was fantastic. Thank you for a nice week during our stay in Boise! :o)

“Great Room & Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 June 2008

The Service was excellent. the staff was very friendly. My room (#111) was very roomy (2 beds) and the beds were comfortable. I stayed 3 nights there. I will definately stay there again. Pool was warm. The continental breakfast was good and you could sit by the pool. Close to the Boise Mall.
