I don't mean to rain on any parades, but I must say I was incredibly disappointed by my stay at this hotel... while the front desk person was friendly, almost every single detail from the floor on up to the ceiling of this place felt dated and unimpressive. In addition, there was an incredible amount of traffic noise. While my room was on the main floor, it doesn't appear that they did much, if anything, to soundproof it. The furnishings were worn looking and dated and faded and things did not seem to be well thought out at all...even the extra table/desk in the room had no lamp or light overhead, rendering it pretty useless. There were faded little "grandma-type" shams on the bed that likely had seen their finest hour about 6 years ago easily. The bathroom was basic, basic motel with limited amenities, and I was extremely put off by the small black bugs that were parading around on the counter next to the sink in the morning. The coffee maker is stashed high on a shelf above the closet's hanging area, making it very awkward to get it down without dropping it or all of the loose items in the caddy. In addition, even the Bigelow herbal tea package had one of the teabags already removed, so it doesn't seem that housekeeping even checks things very thoroughly. The breakfast (limited Continental with just a waflle maker for a hot item) is in the pool area... very humid and dated looking, as well. The best thing about the property was the lovely view out the back window from that pool area--but as I was extremely tired having been awakened early by the traffic noise directly outside the room--it wasn't conducive to lingering. There are many other options nearby that are cleaner and less depressing.. even the hotel's logo looks homemade and dated. Sorry, but it just was not a good experience at all.
