“Good value if you have things to do in area.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011 via mobile

Great pool and play area for kids. Better breakfast than any other motels I've stayed in. The beds are hard and you need to bring your own pillows. The price was killer. I found a coupon along the way for 38.00. We had things to do in boise so we were only at the motel in the evenings. Kids swam for hours. Rooms could have been a little cleaner. Saw hair all over in bathroom. It is an older motel. Im sure its seen better days. But loved the porches on the rooms and the pool/play area. You could even grill your own food outside. Plenty of tables with umbrellas. Pet friendly!

“Well worn, but clean”

It is and old hotel with lots of years on it, but the staff is really nice and the price is low. The Sagebrush Saloon opens at 4pm.Lots of locals come in for beer and popcorn. It is close the St Al's hospital and the freeway.

“Not bad for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2010

I stayed at the Rodeway for two nights when I first arrived in Boise and was looking for housing. They allow pets which is a perk and have a large grassy area to walk your dogs. The room was very comfortable and clean esp considering it was a "pet" room. No funky smells or stains. Complementary breakfast was good with a few different options including fruit which is always a plus. The beds were comfy but considering we had been driving for 10 hours...probably would have passed out on a concrete slab! For the price can't be beat.

“Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2010

This is an older hotel and a bit "dated" but very clean, rooms were spacious, and the Continental Breakfast was extensive. With Traveler Coupon from books you pick up along the route, this was a great value. Large hospital complex next door.

“This place is a filthy dump”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2010

I arrived on a 98 degree day to find the air conditioning non-functioning. I called the desk which showed no concern. This older property is poorly maintained with stained upholstery and dirty carpet. Clean bedding but the floor around and behind the bed was filthy which I discovered when I dropped something on the floor and it rolled under the bed. Sleep was impossible as I had to leave the balcony sliding door open for some air (futile) and people were in the pool very late (probably trying to stay cool). Room finally cooled enough to allow me to fall into a fitful sleep but I was awakened first by the loud rotor blast of an air ambulance taking off from the adjacent hospital and then at 4 am by teen age boys and girls playing in the pool. I closed the sliding door to get some quiet and tried to find what was wrong with the air conditioner. I found that the celing mounted air intake filter was filthy and completely clogged. I removed it and the air began to slowly cool the room. As I write this it is 5:15 am and the room has finally cooled to a temperature where sleep might be possible but I have to be up at 7am. Oh yes, and then there was the bill. This was my second stay (and last) at this dump. On my first visit I found a charge for the room safe which was removed when I checked out. I was told it was a mistake. Well, here it is again on this bill. Must be a common mistake that they find few people catch. I would avoid this place. I believe it only survives due to it's placement next to St. Al's Hospital. There is no other reason to stay a this place.
