“Great place to stay in Boise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Located in the center of everything, the Grove is a great place to stay in downtown Boise. I love the lobby and the staff are always friendly and ready to help. The rooms are nice and if high up the view is as nice as you will find in Boise. The location is perfect to explore the city and if you are a runner close to the 25 mile greenbelt trail. I havent tried the restaurants but they look good. I have stayed in most of the hotels in downtown Boise and this remains my favorite.

Room Tip: As always, high up for the best view

“Comfortable & convenient”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

I made a repeat stay at The Grove earlier this week. Stayed 2 nights. Love the young folks on concierge service. After speaking w/the young fellow only a few moments the first evening he remembered me the following afternoon. Everyone is most accommodating from requesting a glass of milk to take to my room at 11 pm to the check-in/check-out experience. That the heating system is very quiet is much appreciated!!! I will return again.

“Great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

Have stayed here twice while on busines while in Boise and have not been disappointed. The place was recommended by a business associate (thanks Maryanna) and it lived up to its expectations. Terrific location with a view of downtown and the mountains in the background. Room were very comfortable, atmosphere top notch, and attention to details will be the reason I will stay there on each trip back to town. Safe location and can walk to just about anything you need to here

“Wonderful Hotel with everything!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

The Grove is a highrise hotel in downtown Boise, close to anything and everything. It's PERFECT in terms of amenities, and the staff is super accomodating. The restaurant onsite is small but has a great menu, we did room service breakfast which was fantastic. The bar in the lobby is a cozy and warm place to wait for someone and watch a sporting event on TV. It even has about 6 beers on draft!
The rooms are fine, on a par with any deluxe hotel worldwide, but higher levels have better views as the Grove is almost the tallest thing in town. The impressive thing about the rooms is how they are furnished out. Six stars for the mattresses, and many pillows. The robes and towels are luxurious, and the sheets very fine. In room coffee perfect. Housekeeper was thorough during our stay.
The staff is what really makes the Grove shine, many young people who take their jobs and your comfort seriously. Check in, bell service, bar and restaurant, room service, taxi getter, and housekeeping were all friendly and professional.
I would not consider staying anywhere else in Boise!

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views.

“Good Location, Average Accomodation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

I'm a frequent business traveller to Boise but this was my first time at "The Grove". At the front desk I was a little surprised they charged for parking in their own underground garage and the clerk said, "Well, you're in the big city now", in a condescending tone which irritated me. Did he think I was a country bumpkin? I'm actually from a city 5 times the size of Boise and I've travelled all over the world. The rooms were clean but cramped, the bathroom very small. The bed had a clean white topper on it but the bed was so soft that I woke with a terrible backache. The center of the bed is slightly concave. I loved the view from our window and the hotel is quiet, with heavy doors. The lobby is very nicely appointed with comfortable seating and good lighting. They have a pianist play the piano beautifully in the evenings. The fact that there is no complementary breakfast, an additional cost for parking and the rooms are tiny will send me back to the downtown Hampton Inn, which is in the same area.
