“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 23rd Anniversary stay at the Heritage Inn. We felt so relaxed sitting in the living room by the fire, enjoying a glass of wine and their eclectic library. The hosts were warm and accomodating and great conversationalists. Our room was spacious with a double couch which we enjoyed next to the electric fireplace which added ambiance. We were fascinated with the history of the home, being the residence of Frank and Bethine Church, Idaho's longest serving US Senator. There is also a document signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt which I found so interesting. This B&B is also walking distance from several great restaurants and the downtown area. We would like to stay here again.

“Idaho Heritage Inn, a must stay in Boise for B&B experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

We loved it; highly recommend for many reasons. Owners are gracious and good to get to know. Close to downtown, walking distance, with fun history and decor. Food was great and conversation scintillating. Hope to be able to stay there again.

Room Tip: For privacy The Carriage House is the best option! Room is separate, over the garage, really a fun l...

“Uncomfortable Nights in Boise”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

This B&B is a perfectly fine place to stay on a few key points -- clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot water, very good location -- but there is a definitely lack of charm and hospitality that I associate with a B&B. While the common rooms were nicely appointed, the so-called historic home stuck me as just old and in need of better up keep especially in the bathrooms. Others complained of the rooms being cold, but my husband and I found our room so oppressively hot that we had trouble sleeping through the night. We had all our windows open and it was still too hot in our room. Finally, the breakfast was lackluster. I wouldn't bother staying here again as I'm certain I could do better either at a hotel or another B&B.

“Very nice, affordable B&B - We've stayed 4 times, would do it again.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

As I said in the title, we've stayed at the Idaho Heritage Inn fours times now, while passing through Boise. The owners are very accommodating, and each time went out of their way to make sure I could eat the breakfast. I have food allergies, and it is great to be somewhere that takes it seriously.

Also, we loved the endless hot water! The Inn's hot water is from a geothermal hot spring, so I've taken some really nice baths there! It's great to not feel like I'm wasting electricity. :-)

Two of the times we stayed at the Inn, there was a minor glitch which the owners dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction.

We'll be staying there again whenever we pass through.

Room Tip: Rooms on the alley side are the quietest, and have a lovely deck off them.

“Historic building in area filled with historic homes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Chosen because of its historic registration. Light breakfast in beautiful dining room. Computer usage convenient. Cats adorable and no smell throughout building. Parking in back alley very good. Walking distance to other old homes, restaurant center of town, and walkway along river near campus. The room we chose had a very small shower, but considering how they fit it into the original closets, not bad. I probably would have asked for more of certain breakfast food items if I had known what was going to be served.

Room Tip: From what I could see, all rooms look very nice. Central air was nice and cool on a hot day. Ask a...
