This is not a typical bed & breakfast. It is actually just four rooms above a restaurant. You are pretty much left on your own if the restaurant is closed which it is Sun-Tues. Very nice rooms except they have no windows or natural lighting. It is right downtown but you cannot hear the numerous trains going by at all. (A downer for me as the sound of trains is comforting and actually helps me sleep but I know that is unusual!) It is a little disconcerting at night, however, because yours is the only car parked on the street once the restaurant closes since this is a commercial area.
The breakfast is also not typical. You fill out a form the night before and a tray is put in the refrigerator in the upstairs common room. The common room is really only set up for eating breakfast---a couple of tables, a chair and a desk. The breakfast is light, consisting only of your choice of yogurt, bread, oatmeal, or fruit cup. Coffee and a coffee maker as well as tea are on the counter by the refrigerator. They were accommodating, however, of requests. The first morning all the yogurts on my family's tray were some variation of strawberry which I am allergic to. When I requested anything but strawberry for the next day, we received a variety of flavors.
The rooms were clean and functional and attractive though our toilet lid was broken.
All in all, it met our needs very well in terms of place and comforts.
